Who are you?
On this site there are four main races you can choose from and they will be described a little below so that each member can get an idea of which one to pick. Meaning you should be able to understand their perks and downfalls once reading the below, though please keep in mind this thread is not absolute. You can pick from; Human, Claymore, Guider and Yoma. More may be added as the site progresses but at the moment these are the four main races you can select from.
Humans
Humans are the most common race in this world. They can easily range from the weakest of opponents to the most versatile and deadliest foe you may face, this is because they are not limited in ways like other races. They are capable of taking any path they want and focus in areas they deem as needed. Humans are also capable of having a wide range of skills, from swordplay, to archer to espionage.
Bonuses
- Humans have a rather strong connection to nature when compared to Claymores or Yoma, meaning they are normally good in the wild and have a knack for surviving when placed against the environment.
- Humans have a talent at being able to pick up new skills rather easily, for this reason they can train in many different areas of combat for example and be of decent level in all, while the other races are normally much more focused.
- Humans normally travel around in groups, making them much harder to defeat as they will have numbers on their side.
- They also have a very strong will, in most cases, meaning that they are much more resistant to mental attacks that a person may have.
- Humans gain one extra MIT.
Down falls
- Humans are not as physically strong or fast as a Claymore or Yoma, and for this reason are at a downfall in combat.
- Humans are the main targets of Yoma, meaning they are normally at risk of being eaten.
- Humans are normally ignorant towards Claymore, for this reason forging a bond between humans and Claymores can be hard. I do not want to see loads of claymores walking around with human team-mates.
Claymores
In this world there are only a few claymores, compared to the total population of the world. They are labelled as the silver eyed fighters as they all posse silver eyes, which normally causes fear in most humans. Their real name are not Claymores, they are simply tools of the Organization, nothing more. Though, seeing as most carry Claymores they have come to be labelled as Claymores by the humans that inhabit the world.
Bonuses
- Their bodies are stronger, faster and slightly more resilient than that of a humans. Though not as great as that of a Yoma’s.
- All Claymores that are taken in by the Organization are trained in combat, deception and tactics. Though their skill levels vary from Claymore to Claymore.
- All Claymore are supplied with armour and a signature weapon, this normally being a Claymore.
- All Claymores are capable of detecting Yoma within a close vicinity, normally no more than one-hundred foot. Though some can focus in detection and have their range pushed to ten miles, some even more.
- All Claymores have a limited healing effect that is constantly active, allowing them to heal from deep wounds over a long period of time that would normally kill them. The healing factor varies from Claymore to Claymore, some can regenerate limbs, while others may find it hard to seal up a wound.
Down falls
- Claymores can go over their limits, if an admin sees you using a large portion of your Yoma power then they will send you a PM explain how you can feel you are coming close to awakening and what thread it applies to, along to which post and a little more infomation. If you pass the limit a second PM will be sent out telling you that you have begun to awaken, and will need to Rp it within the said thread. You are free to kill yourself, or try and survive as an Awakened being. If you have any questions please reply to the PMs sent, please do not argue but we will listen to your points of view and consider them.
- Claymores are not normally welcomed with open arms by any form of society, in some areas they are banned. Please remember they are not above the law in anyway, if anything they are under larger restrictions than a normal human.
- Claymores are tools, they are given jobs, they do them. Nothing more, nothing less.
- The Organization is not one that forgives and has no problem sending multiple Claymores to deal with one rouge opponent. There are also a set of rules which Claymores must abide to, which are listed here.
Guiders
[/li][/ul][/blockquote] [/blockquote]Guiders are very mysterious and normally have little known about them, most were once human, some being ex-claymore. Some people once said that Yoma acted as Guiders, though if this is true no one is sure. Yet it is known that Guiders have little contact with the human world and normally reside within the Organization’s domain, protected and hidden where they carry out the demands of the council. They are seen as being strong, though rarely enter combat unless the council allows it.
Bonuses
- Guiders are stronger, fast and more resilient than all other races.
- They have no problem with spreading their skill, like a human. Even if they originate from a Claymore.
- Guiders all support each other, unlike Claymores which can at times be separated. If a Guider is attacked the closest will move into help, this is a well known rule.
- Like Claymores, Guiders have a healing factor that works in the same way.
- Guiders gain an extra AT.
Down falls
- Guiders are under many restrictions from the council, a lot more than they Claymores.
- Guiders are not seen as being good in the eyes of the public or any real society because of this they are normally avoided or told to leave. You could say they are seen as an omen by most people.
- Guiders can also awaken in the same manner as a Claymores, however this leads directly to death.
Yoma
These are the creatures that plague the world and are hunted by all of the above races, for this reason living the life of a Yoma is a dangerous one. Though it can hold a great amount of power and potential if one dares to become one, and survives long enough. Yoma are born killers and see no problem in eating human flesh, seeing as they must do it to survive, that is all. Survival of the fittest, in a dog eat dog world.
Bonuses
- Yoma are only beaten in terms of strength, speed and resilience by Guiders.
- Yoma are very good killers, it is their lifestyle and for this reason are very skilled at it.
- Blending into human life style is something they excel at, meaning they can easily mingle with humans if the need calls for it. This is made a great deal easier as Yoma can take on a human form, though this form always looks the same.
- Yoma gain an extra AT.
Down falls
- Yoma have a dire urge and must eat one full human at least once a week, or they will perish. The only exception is that Awakened beings can survive without food, though they are weakened to half their normal strength if they go without food.
- Yoma are almost always met with hostility and are hunted a great deal, though they can find refuge within the group known as ‘Shadow’s Dusk.’
- Yoma normally travel alone, meaning that combat against multiple foes can be hard. Yet this can be overcome if they form small groups or join larger factions, such as Shadow’s Dusk.
